Project Introduction

Cotton Culture Display

Introduction:
Cotton is a part of our daily lives from when we dry our face with a soft cotton towel in the morning until we slide into our soft cotton sheets at night. It has hundreds of uses, from blue jeans to shoe strings. Many clothing and household items are made of cotton.

Cotton is a natural fiber produced by cotton plant.

In this project you will make a display to show different parts or different growth stages of cotton plant. You can also make a display to show how natural cotton fiber will go through different processes to become yarn and cotton cloth.

Material and step by step instructions:
In this project, you will need to have access to a cotton farm or cotton plant. You will need the plant material for parts of your display. All other material can be found at home or purchased locally in most areas.

Please note that this is a display project. You will not have a question and a hypothesis for this project. Your results will be your display.

Details of this project:
More details or support on this project is available for the members of ScienceProject.com. The project guide also requires using your local library and finding books about cotton and textile machinery.
